August River Band Album Launch, supported by Colin Lillie and HAM

August River Band have had an exciting start to the year, releasing singles "Crazy" and "In My Arms" from their forthcoming debut album, Thank You Pain. They are now bustling with excitement to share the album with fans in a live setting on the day of release at their album launch at The Tivoli on Friday October 2nd! This is following on from the band's special set to a sellout crowd at The Milk Factory in February following the release of their single "Blue Light".

New single "In My Arms" displays the culmination of talents that drew August River Band together, with the band explaining "We all love this song and a lot of each of our personalities went into it; the manic oscillation, the drive, the soaring heights".  Hailing from Brisbane, the band consists of Eev Ferreira and Gerard Kerr, with Lil Burrows contributing on the violin to the songwriting process and recording of the album. The band has the ability to instantly draw in listeners through their unique sound which offers a wild and beautifully juxtaposed chemistry between the tortured singer songwriter, the classically trained violinist and the hard hitting rock and roll drummer. It is this combination of talents which makes for such an intoxicating live show, made even more so special by the addition of NT's 2019 Live Voice Of the Year Award Winner, Colin Lillie to the lineup.

Also joining the lineup is another local Brisbane band HAM, a 6 piece Soul/Blues/Roots/Funk original band who play from their hearts and sing from their souls. With hook laden songs and warm hug vocal harmonies, HAM are following in the footsteps of the greats like ‘The Band’ and ‘Tedeschi Trucks’.  With such a great combination of artists at the Thank You Painlaunch show, it is a night that fans will surely not forget.
