ASH FLANDERS IS NOTHING
After a damning prophecy from a Dutch wizard, multi award-winning cabaret artist Ash Flanders confronted his own nothingness the only way he knew how – by examining a day in his life in a show called Ash Flanders is Nothing.
This is not that show.
The new Ash Flanders is Nothing pairs the original day with a day from 2020. A day that brought with it a new prophecy, another race against time and an even more frantic search for somethingness. Before you know it you’re outrunning death, meeting a lizard named Cookie, loitering by a helipad, howling in a park, singing with a Christian rock band and holding a pillowcase full of birds.
Mixing storytelling with song and comedy with tragedy, Ash invites you on a profoundly funny freewheeling time-traveling journey like no other. Because when life is this gleefully punishing, the material just writes itself.
“Impeccable comic timing. Annoyingly magnetic.” – Witness Performance
