Arvo are thrilled to present their new single Islands in the lead up to their forthcoming debut EP, Recreation.

Islands is special to this Sydney based five piece indie pop/rock outfit, both sonically and lyrically, the meaning of which has been evolving since early high school. Weaving funk filled bass lines into warm, groovy bursts of melody, the fan favourite takes influences from the likes of Phoenix, Hippo Campus, and Whitest Boy Alive. Islands, at its core, is about an island. Deeper so, it reminds us about disruption, sickness, and a fruitlessly incessant search for peace... but what even is peace? Nonetheless, the meaning is wrapped in a vibe that can be danced to, so just stick with the song being about an island...

Catch Arvo's upcoming show at Oxford Art Factory's Gallery Bar supported by the sweet indie-folk melodies from Hollie Col, as well as the funky psych-indie trio Dizzies. This is a great opportunity to catch a taster of all Arvo's tunes before the release of Recreation at the end of 2017!
