It is with a heavy heart that we advise that the Espy’s arts program will no longer continue as a result of COVID 19. Thanks so much for supporting art at the hotel. Your tickets will be refunded. Take care and keep well.

Due to the number of cancellations, our refund process is taking slightly longer than usual. You don’t need to do anything; your ticket(s) will be automatically refunded back to your credit card/PayPal account and we’ll let you know when this has been done. It can take up to 3-5 business days for the funds to return to your account. If your card details have changed, please wait for Moshtix to contact you directly regarding this.

Hotel Esplanade was originally built as a 60-room hotel in the Renaissance Revival Regency Resort style before alterations in the 1920s transformed it into a celebrated live music venue. From the 90s onwards, the Espy survived numerous sales and a threatened demolition before undergoing a major refurbishment in 2018

The revived hotel now boasts 12 bars over five levels, three band stages, signalling live music is still a priority, two restaurants and a podcast studio. The Gershwin Room remains relatively untouched except for a new sound system. New areas previously closed to the public have been opened such as the Ghost of Alfred Felton cocktail bar, bringing to life the story of the philanthropist, chemist and long-time Espy resident.

Technē Architects are working with the Espy Arts program to produce this unique tour. Join us as the team unravel how they maintained decades of evolutions with their dreams for Hotel Esplanade.
