LIVE IN THE GERSHWIN ROOM // Praised as one of the buzz acts of BIGSOUND 2019, Approachable Members of Your Local Community bring their 'Love Thy Neighbour' Tour to the Gersh this Feb - with Special guests Higher Places and Lola Scott

Approachable Members of Your Local Community make music that’s a gently heaving wave of team spirit and pop melodies; funny but not a joke, approachable but not simple, and generously glazed in extra servings of groove and charisma. Reliably funky and devilishly handsome in their matching Adidas, four nebbish boys from the streets of St Kilda who make up the Approachable Members deliver a service the community knows and loves.

Having supported the likes of Half.Alive (USA), Lime Cordiale, Kira Puru and Joyride, to writing with the likes of Japanese Wallpaper and Alex Lahey, the Approachable Members know collaboration is key to a successful community. If you like getting a little bit drunk with your Grandma at Shabbat dinner, matching your outfit to your best friends, and deeply funky grooves, this tour is for you.

Higher Places
Higher Places is the solo project of Melbourne-based producer, songwriter and session musician Hamish Patrick. Influenced by his love of pop, electronic music and indie rock, Higher Places is electronic pop with an analogue sheen.

Lola Scott
Synth-heavy indie pop floating in melancholic drama” - it’s the perfect description from Lola Scott herself of her multi-faceted musical stylings. Over the past 12 months, the young Sydney-based artist has worked tirelessly on expanding her music.

We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam people as the First People of this land on which we live, love and play.
