It's finally time for Thibault to launch their debut album! Released in September 2020, Or Not Thibault is a marvel of dreamy space age pop, full of harmonic invention, unexpected arrangements and lush atmospheres. A Triple R album of the week, Or Not Thibault was celebrated around the world by the likes of Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill and Stereolab's Tim Gane.
The project is centred around one-time Brisbanite Nicole Thibault, whose 90s/00s band Minimum Chips are still talked about in hushed tones. On Or Not Thibault, her band included members of Orb, Parsnip and The Ocean Party. The current Thibault band features Zak Olsen (Orb, Traffik Island), Rebecca Liston (Parsnip), Stella Rennex (Parsnip/Smarts) and Zoe Monk (Eggy).
Thibault are joined for their album launch by queer balladeer Guy Blackman (with full backing band) and local pop mainstays The Stroppies.
