Crown Ruler & Finding Figaro
Antal (Amsterdam/Rush Hour) & Coco Maria (Mexico/Club Coco) at Howler - Full Venue Takeover
Crown Ruler & Finding Figaro bring Amsterdam’s ANTAL (Rush Hour) & Mexico’s Coco Maria down for a full-venue takeover of Howler on Sunday January 8th.
THEATRE
7.30pm-8.15pm - DON GLORI
8.15pm-8.45pm - SHIO (DJ SET)
8.45pm-10pm - FOUND HEADS
Antal is a well-seasoned DJ whose versatile skill behind the rotary mixer is unparalleled.
Having spun records since 1996, Antal’s artistry is built upon mixing myriad genres with such ease and cohesion that you find yourself in uncontrollable dance to the most obscure of cuts. With a raging collection, Antal’s just as likely to spin Chicago and Detroit House as rare Afro Funk, Surinam disco or boogie.
Born in Mexico, Coco Maria grew up surrounded by music, developing a love for listening to and sharing music of afro-latin rhythms from South and Central America, Brazil, the Caribbean and beyond. Coco Maria’s sets mix gems from jazz to samba, latin-funk, cumbia and more - with rarities thrown in for good measure.
Joining Antal and Coco Maria for the full-venue takeover are live acts Found Heads ft. Barney McAll, Clever Austin, Javier Fredes & Julien Wilson, Don Glori, Grace Ferguson and DJ’s DITA, Shio and Sophuli.
12pm - 10pm
Crown Ruler and Finding Figaro acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which this event will be held. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present; their culture and language; and their ongoing resistance against colonialism since 1788.
