The music of the contemporary Brazilian Jazz Group - Assanhado Quarteto - blends a wide range of influences to this traditional Brazilian music style. Incorporating electric guitar, bass, drums and vibraphone to the usual cavaquinho and seven strings guitar, the quartet creates innovative compositions adding to the classic genre an unique interpretation.

In their performances, the daring music proposal stirs technique and playfulness offering to the public a vibrant experience of contemplation and fun.

The launch of their debut album - Feira - got a warm welcome not only in their home country but also in France and Portugal, as well as Australia with shows, workshops and gigs in Melbourne and Sydney. After leaving the Aussies with a real taste of the creativity and swing of Brazilian music in its prime, they are back for more.

The Assanhados are landing in Down Under in October this year to present new songs that will be part of the second LP to be launched in the first quarter of 2019. Bright and forward, the show it's a genuine cultural experience for those who love jazz, chorinho, samba and the best of instrumental music.
