Event Details

God Queen Records presents a night of honest, radical, conscious and activated music from three powerful women!

Alice Night creates 'honest as f*#k folk' music and collaborates with electronic artists, classical composers and experimental sound makers. Celebrating the launch of her first LP, 'Culture How Could You?' released through God Queen Records she is touring nationally with her theatre/music/performance art hybrid show. Her voice reveals a delicate balance of powerful conviction and hauntingly beautiful intimacy. As an artist she is most noted for the richness and breadth of her voice; her courageous stage presence; and her unique, bold and poetic lyrics."The tone to Alice Night's voice is just irresistible." Dave Ruby Howe - Triple J Unearthed

Gangsta healer, channeller of other-worldly wisdom, ALPHAMAMA is the full spectrum of a feminine deity. Rapid fire raps and soulful lamenting, her energy on stage is unmatched. After a long break from the spotlight, building God Queen Records and delving into the realm of personal and spiritual development she is back showcasing new music and poetry from her forthcoming E.P entitled 'HONEYFIRE'. Commanding her space with other worldly presence, she engages through her raw and evocative performances. An ALPHAMAMA live show is never the same, for her or for her audience; she instead creates a unique experience combining poetic storytelling, audience interaction, hard-hitting rap verses, booty-shaking and occasionally oracle card reading.

Queen Nardine, the enquiring poet with really big hair communicates as if her performances were a conversation between two individuals, separating out the world's tangles to uncover truths, much like the tangled curls she has learned to love. She symbolises all that it means to be a woman coming into power, with a perfect balance of strength and humility in her art. Her unique ability to effortlessly flow ideas through voice and melody wins hearts immediately and has quickly established her as one of Sydney's most exciting performers.
