Niche Productions Presents...
The only way is up for Melbourne-based melodist Ainslie Wills.
Already something of a golden girl on the Australian music landscape, Ainslie Wills has revealed her latest single Constellations lifted from her forthcoming EP Oh The Gold, due for release on September 14. Off the back of a raft of incredible achievements and experiences, this release is poised to leap to a whole new stratospheric level with her brand of honest retro-infused progressive pop.
Oh The Gold's second single Hawaii received plenty of traction and sets the scene perfectly for moving third single, Constellations. A nostalgic look back at a buried childhood memory that resurfaced when Folvig sent her an instrumental track, the piano-based Constellations starts as a more slow-burning, introspective offering than the previous singles - despite the emotive track being resplendent with abundant hooks - when the bold arrangements and lush production burst into life halfway through the song, the full gamut of Wills' artistic range is lifted firmly into the spotlight.
To celebrate the release of Oh The Gold, Ainslie Wills is summoning her five-piece band for a run of east coast shows. Last seen onstage at Splendour In The Grass where she performed with #1 Dads on their song So Soldier - which she co-wrote with good friend Tom Scary - these shows will focus on Wills' considerable live skills, bringing together both the new tracks from Oh The Gold and her older material for what promise to be some of the year's most scintillating live shows.
