Two lauded singer-guitarist-songwriters - American Adam Levy and Australian Heath Cullen - join forces for a double bill tour of Australia this November. It will mark Levy's first tour of Australia under his own name (he's appeared here several times as a sideman, including as part of Norah Jones' Handsome Band), and Cullen's first Australian tour in three years.
Adam Levy is famous for his beautifully understated guitar work with the likes of Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman & Allen Toussaint, and his writing for Guitar Player and Fretboard Journal magazines. He's also a splendid songwriter - the full force of which can best be appreciated on his own recordings - the latest being 'Blueberry Blonde', a duo album with legendary drummer Jay Bellerose.
Heath Cullen's 2015 album 'Outsiders' was named "One of the finest, most inspired Australian rock albums in quite some time" by Rhythms magazine. The album was recorded with Elvis Costello's longtime band The Imposters, the only occasion that the band have collaborated with a singer other than Costello.
