Hardstyle is back at Academy in 2018 with Toneshifterz & Firelite! Plus some of Canberra's best local DJ's. Toneshifterz - Toneshifterz AKA Elie Abwi has become the heavy weight and true ambassador of the Australian Hard Dance scene, confirming his status on main stages both down under (Defqon.1 Festival Australia, IQON) all over Europe (Decibel Outdoor Festival, Hardbass, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland), Canada and South America. The success came from hits like 'Jaydee' and 'Empire of the Sun'. And before long they were signed to the famous Fusion Records imprint, when in 2011 the debut album 'Till Daybreak Meets' was released. Firelite Sydney born 16yr old Firelite lives for music. From the age of 12 he has been perfecting his production writing hooky melodies and playing instruments such as Drums and Guitar. Mature beyond his age and looking up to musical idols such as Stevie Wonder, Hans Zimmer, Billie Joe Armstrong and Aussie Hardstyle lord Audiofreq has given him the motivation and drive to become one of the fastest rising stars the Australian Hardstyle scene has seen in recent times. Having already supported the likes of Brennan Heart, Code Black, Wasted Penguinz, playing the awe inspiring Defqon 1 festival, and being signed to Q-Dance records, this young gun has achieved what many people his superior won't in a lifetime.
