Soundworks presents its mid-year production 'A Night at the Cabaret' - a gala event showcasing its musicians and powerhouse vocalists.

The Cabaret will be presented in two acts; The first act of the program includes various performances by Soundworks' emerging musicians (soloists and ensembles), covering repertoire that includes Pop, Rock, Jazz and Soul music. The second act will feature the spectacular Brunswick Stage Band & Contemporary Choir.

The band will perform a range of Swing, Jazz & Contemporary Music Theatre numbers with Soundworks soloists and guest artists. Repertoire includes toe-tapping, roaring swing numbers by The Count Basie Orchestra and The Duke Ellington Orchestra, even the works of Thad Jones, Charles Mingus, Bob Mintzer.

The Contemporary Choir & Soloists will perform many show-stoppers and 11 o'clock numbers from contemporary musical theatre shows, as well as Gospel and Soul arrangements.

The night is a celebration of Brunswick musicians and their craft. Come on down, have a meal and some drinks, and support our local artists.
