Australian Women in Music Awards (AWMA) celebrates and recognises the vast achievements and contribution of female and gender diverse artists and music practitioners across all genres of music and all areas of the Australian music industry. 

Featuring performances from some of Australia’s top female artists and musicians, a dynamic thought leadership Conference with unique networking opportunities and the prestigious Awards Ceremony & Concert.  

AWMA shines a spotlight on excellence, creativity and cultural leadership whilst embracing the “too often unseen” artists and creatives working in regional and remote Australia and behind the scenes.

This year’s AWMA Conference Program presents a powerful series of forums and conversations exploring remote First Nations perspectives, youth engagement, accessibility, music technology and leadership bringing together artists, industry and community leaders, music practitioners and change-makers from across the country.

In this year’s compelling 'In Conversation' music photographer Brittany Long shares the challenges and triumphs that have shaped her career, her vision for a truly barrier-free live music scene and the evolving role visual storytelling plays in redefining representation - back stage, front of house as well as on and off the stage.
