Through his work with Shooglenifty, Peter Daffy and as a Solo performer, Luke Plumb has established a reputation as a driving force in acoustic music on the global stage.

Turn & ReTurn by Luke Plumb & The Circuit is the first new body of work since the world renowned mandolinist departed from Shooglenifty (UK) to return home to Australia. With a new band crafted from some of Australia's finest: John Butler Trio, Flap!,(Eamon McNelis' searing trumpet has to be heard to be believed!) Trouble in the Kitchen and Emma and the Putbacks, Turn & ReTurn is bold music drawing on 15 years of musical interactions from around the world. This masterful work is grounded in music traditions, driven by dance rhythms and highlighted by sparkling interwoven composition and improvisation.

This seminal album has drawn rave reviews from Australian and American music journalists:

"Enough imagination and originality to inspire a new generation of local folk musicians. The result ... is an album of breathtaking originality" Bruce Elder - The Age & Sydney Morning Herald

"A Timeless Surprise Package" Chris Lambie - Rhythms Magazine

"A set of genre defying originals that is both cerebral and poetic" Tony Hillier - The Australian

"I think I died and went to heaven..As I listen, Variety-style headlines are exploding in my head. Boffo! Magnificent! Monstrous! I tell you, they are that good, enough so that I can't sleep until I get this written. Frank Gutch Jnr - No Depression music magazine (US)

"One of the great folk artists in Australia... this blew me away! The whole album is brilliant. Not only is [Luke Plumb] a great musician, he's a great producer as well" - Paul Gough, PIMPOD

"Through his ground-breaking work with folk minimalist group 'Senan's Haggart', his playing and composition that helped give 'Shooglenifty' new life, his duo with James MacKintosh and his solo work, runs a thread of sunny, assured, innovative and distinctly Australian music making.' - Lucky Oceans.
