At Blue Beat it's about (contemporary) music. Live funk, world, R&B, folk, acoustic, soul, rock, jazz, blues, alt country - and the unexpected - are all on the program. Blue Beat's relaxed nightclub setting allows audiences to get up close and personal.. We recommend booking to ensure a table for dinner, but there are no hard and fast rules otherwise. Our kitchen can cater for full meals or light snacks, so you can book for a dinner and show or buy tickets for show-only, or come for a late night Tapas meal and a chance to hang at the bar or in one of Blue Beat's comfy booths. We're open til very late (including the kitchen) on Friday and Saturday nights, when the best funk, R&B and soul bands pump it up from 10pm.
Blue Beat is in the heart of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs with some on-street parking (hard to believe but true!) that's free after 6pm, or we have two parking stations close by (and they're cheap). Plenty of taxis round the clock. Bus and train connections are just minutes away on New South Head Road.
Facilities include bar and grill open til late; quality staging and production; personalised phone booking on (02) 9328 4411; VIP bar (including Steinway grand piano) available for functions and special events; 170+ restaurant stage-front, with plenty of other seating throughout, most with superb sightlines, but some quiet corners too for those who prefer to chill away from the music and enjoy the funky decor.
