(RED), the aids charity co-founded by U2 frontman Bono, have put on a surprise show in New York City as part of World AIDS Day. With Bono sitting out following his recent bike-related injury, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and singer Carrie Underwood took to the stage with “U2 Minus 1?, on a night which also saw Kanye West perform for the charity in Times Square.

First up, U2 Minus 1 were fronted by Chris Martin, who wore a cheeky t-shirt with “SUBSTITU2? printed on it. Martin sang with the band on the U2 classics Beautiful Day and With Or Without You.

When the group were fronted by rock icon Bruce Springsteen, they delved into Where The Streets Have No Name and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, with Springsteen delivering a typically gripping performance.

American country singer Carrie Underwood took to the stage with U2 guitarist The Edge to perform her song Change, before performing with her usual backing band. When Kanye hit the stage, he performed Yeezus track Black Skinhead, as well as older songs Jesus Walks, Stronger and Touch The Sky.

Footage from the concert, which was streamed live on YouTube, is now available in full, below.
