Watch Seekae Cover Ariel Pink’s ‘Picture Me Gone’ For ‘Like A Version’

Sydney/London electronic trio Seekae stopped by triple j this morning for the penultimate Like A Version of 2014 to perform a hypnotic cover of Ariel Pink‘s sentimental 2014 track Picture Me Gone, taken from his latest album pom pom.

With just a single electric guitar, twinkling keys, some sparse beats and the sweet voice of percussionist turned vocalist Alex Cameron, the trio captured the bittersweet lament pulsing through Pink’s song about the loss of sentimentality and physical memories in the modern digital era. And they did it in half the time of the original 6-minute slow jam.

While in the studio Seekae also performed a stirring version of their track Another, lifted from their third studio album, 2014's The Worry. Check out both performances below.
