Lana Del Rey has performed a touching duet with Leonard Cohen’s son Adam to honour the year’s anniversary since Leonard’s death.
The gig took place in Montreal, where Del Rey joined Adam Cohen on stage to sing Leonard’s 1974 classic ‘Chelsea Hotel #2.’
After Cohen passed away at the age of 82 in November 2016, Del Rey took to social media to reveal she had always felt a close connection with Leonard.
“Not that it would’ve mattered to ya, it’s just that other than Bob and Joan you were the only person I ever really felt spoke my language,” she wrote.
This isn’t the first time Del Rey has covered ‘Chelsea Hotel #2 either. In 2013 she recorded a studio cover of the song and even released a clip to go with it.
The moving acoustic cover featured Adam, who also co-produced Leonard’s final album, on guitar and vocals.
Del Rey also posted a video of Cohen performing ‘A Thousand Kisses Deep’ to her socials following the concert.
The concert also saw performances by Elvis Costello, Sting, Damien Rice, Fiest and more.
