Kanye West has used his headlining set at Glastonbury to once again to declare himself “the greatest living rock star on the planet” and, perhaps to drive the point home, he also chose to tackle one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
It could be that Yeezy himself was feeling a little bit unsure of his rockstar credentials, after more than 100,000 people signed a petition to have him removed as Glasto headliner.
But either way, something drove the rapper to deviate from his own discography during the performance, and produce a cover of Queen’s beloved rock opera Bohemian Rhapsody.
To which he forgot the words.
And speaking of words, there really are none to describe the magnificence of Kanye’s failure at covering this Queen classic. It’s really something you just have to experience for yourself.
Other highlights of Yeezy’s Glastonbury set include a surprise cameo by Bon Iver (which we’ll tell you more about later) and a stage invasion courtesy of some douchebag with an even bigger ego than Kanye.
But after this Bohemian Rhapsody cover, nothing really matters.
