Watch Foals Give Florence + The Machine The Punk Treatment

Foals recently took to BBC Radio 1‘s Live Lounge to deliver a blistering punked up cover of Florence + The Machine‘s What Kind of Man for an in-studio session.

Starting off slow with some uplifting synths, they transform the sound of the song into an anthemic pop punk burner, showing the band in top form following singer Yannis Philippakis’ recovery from vocal problems.

Having had to cancel their South American tour while he recovered, the cover is the first appearance by the band since taking the short break. Not missing a step with getting back into the swing of things, the cover shows them back at the top of their game.

Watch the video here below and catch Foals in the country when they visit for a stint at Falls Festival and Southbound over New Year’s as well as their biggest Aussie headline sideshows to date.
