UK indie rockers Foals dropped by triple j studios this morning and amped up the groove on a terrific cover of Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker’s psychedelic earworm Daffodils for Like A Version.
Helped along by a vintage drum machine and a specially-flown-in Space Echo, frontman Yannis Philippakis took on Parker’s vocal duties with total ease, even speeding up the song so as to inject it with even more groove.
While in the triple j studios, Foals also delivered a sped up version of their recent single Mountain At My Gates, which will appear on their fourth studio album What Went Down when it drops on 28th August. So soon guys!
Good news for fans old and new, Foals will of course be back in the country very, very soon as part of the Falls and Southbound Festival lineups.
Until then, get groovy to their Like A Version performances in full, below.
