Ivan Moody (real name Ivan Greening) of Las Vegas nu metal outfit Five Finger Death Punch has had a go at rapper Kanye West and anyone who speaks negatively about him on social media in a brief but pretty Kanye-esque rant at a recent show.
Moody’s anti-Kanye and anti-people-who-don’t-like-him rant (below) took place at a show in Pennsylvania over the weekend. In-between songs, Moody stopped to tell the crowd he wanted to make “one more statement”.
“F**k Kanye West! Yes, I f**king said it and I don’t regret it,” Moody said, before leading the crowd in a “F**k Kanye” chant.
“I’m gonna hear about that tomorrow on Facebook,” Moody said, “And I don’t give a s**t.”
Moody then complained about being misrepresented online. “I know that social media has been eating me alive lately,” he said.
“The f**ked up thing about the internet is someone can say something, and it can be completely f**king untrue, and you still get to see it, which usually means it’s some 12-year-old kid in his Grandmother’s basement… has nothing to do with masturbating or poppin’ pimples.”
While neither Kanye nor any 12-year-old boys probably care about Moody’s rant, it’s also nowhere near as good as Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor’s special message for Kanye.
Moody has previously been ‘eaten alive’ online after being charged with assaulting aircrew after alleged “threatening behaviour” towards a female flight attendant on a Qantas flight in February 2014 when Five Finger Death Punch where in Australia for Soundwave Festival.
Since then, Moody has also courted controversy online for encouraging a nine-year-old girl to chant “burn, motherf**ker, burn” on stage at a show.
Earlier this year, Moody denied rumours that Five Finger Death Punch were breaking up after an awkward onstage meltdown.
