Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus have performed a cover of Crowded House‘ ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ at the ‘One Love Manchester’ benefit concert in support of the victims of last month’s Manchester Arena terrorist attack.
The cover, which was led by Grande, saw Cyrus forget some of the lyrics, but luckily she had them for reference on a nearby screen. Responding to the cover on Twitter, Crowded House frontman Neil Finn said, “So good you took our kid for a spin with the good people of ‘One Love Manchester’.”
Watch the cover in full, below.
This isn’t the first time Cyrus and Grande have covered ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’. They first performed the song together in 2015 while dressed in animal onesies, for Cyrus’ ‘Backyard Sessions’ series.
The ‘One Love Manchester’ concert also featured performances from the likes of Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Liam Gallagher, Pharrell Williams and Take That. Watch the concert in full right here.
The UK Red Cross has told the Associated Press that the concert has already raised 7 million pounds (AUD$12.1 million), and is expected to raise even more in the coming days thanks to TV rights and merchandising.
