Vance Joy Announces National ‘Riptide’ Tour For August

Melbourne singer-songwriter Vance Joy is progressing in leaps and bounds it seems, today announcing a cheeky run of Australian headlining tour dates to soothe the urges of his fan base for the remainder of the year, bringing his highly regarded full band with him.

The shows will kick off mid-August and will match up nicely with his commitments as support act for Bernard Fanning – just the latest of high-profile tours he has been attached to after supporting Julia Stone and Of Monsters & Men. That said, Vance and co have had a strong taste of being the main drawing card with a tour back in April which left a lasting impression with fans and industry peeps alike.

Off the back of his EP God Loves You When You’re Dancing, Vance Joy has succeeded in becoming one of the most watched burgeoning acts not just in Australia but all over the world. In a short period of time he has become well-accustomed to international stages and will be spending more time abroad later this year after successfully pricking up the ears of US mega-label Atlantic Records who signed him up for a 5-album deal.

That’s a lot of new material! Given there’s talk he will be penning some new tunage later this year, we could be hearing some of it soon.
