Van Halen To Headline Inaugural Stone Music Festival This April
Written by John Ritchie on 19th February, 2013
Van Halen have been announced as headliners for the inaugural Stone Music Festival, which will be held at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on April 20th and 21st. As reported, the one-off event will also feature Billy Joel, Kings of Chaos, Richie Ramone, Buckcherry, Lifehouse and Illumination Road.
A bunch of Australian rock acts and a few reformed 90's acts are expected to be announced on the line-up before tickets go on sale this Thursday. The festival was inspired by the ’70s cult biker film Stone and will feature a commemorative motorcycle ride and hot rod show.
The film is a cult classic and the timing of the Festival serves as a timely reminder of our fallen veterans in the lead up to ANZAC Day. STONE Music Festival will pay homage to our fallen heroes by celebrating mateship, brotherhood and all things that make this country great while creating a brand new Aussie ANZAC tradition.
With a new contemporary motion picture production of STONE already in development, we’ll be giving Festival goers the chance to see where it all began with a special 2013 Director’s Cut screening of the original cult classic film each day.
