CHECK OUT THE LATEST
Bono and U2 have finally finished recording their latest album at New York’s famed Electric Lady studios and the rock stalwarts have thrown a musical rooftop party in celebration.
The bash kicked off immediately after recording wrapped, with U2 performing an acoustic version of Sunday Bloody Sunday with bassist Adam Clayton on piano, recorded for global art project Inside Out. Famous faces in attendance included Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, supermodel Helena Christensen and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who’s rumoured to be a collaborator on the album.
The record is yet to be named but Danger Mouse is confirmed on production duties. So when do we get to hear studio number 13 from Ireland’s biggest export? Clayton told AtU2, “[The label] very much want to have a record out by the end of the year, September, October, November; that kind of time.”
We guess once you’ve got a spider named after you, a la Bono, you can take all the time in the world.
