Tropical F*ck Storm Unleash Tropically F*cked-Up New Single & Video ‘Rubber Bullies’

Tropical Fuck Storm — the tropical fuck storm of talent featuring members of The DronesHigh Tension and Palm Springs — have just unleashed a new music video for ‘Rubber Bullies’, the crushing finale track from their forthcoming debut album, A Laughing Death in Meatspace.

The single’s tripped-out visuals echo Gareth Liddiard’s grim lyrics about modern anxieties, reflected in everything from the fluoro glare of a supermarket aisle to the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.

“’Rubber Bullies’ is about wanting to escape the avalanche of people’s bullshit, and just wanting to jump a plan and escape to the beach somewhere far far away!” Liddiard says.

The tune is also the last in the band’s series of four 7” singles, and — in accordance with their songs we love and wish we had written” B-sides — comes packing a cover of the Bee Gee’s classic, ‘Stayin Alive’, “maniacally re-imagined for the disco apocalypse”.

Tropical Fuck Storm will release their first LP, A Laughing Death in Meatspace, on May 4th.
