Thom Yorke Shares New Incredible Hulk-Inspired Song

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has uploaded a brand new song, its title, You Wouldn’t Like Me When I’m Angry, taken from a catch phrase popularised by The Incredible Hulk. The track was of course offered up by Yorke as a pay-what-you-want download.

Formatted as Youwouldn’tlikemewhenI’mangry, the track was launched on Boxing Day as the Radiohead frontman shifted his recent album, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, from BitTorrent to Bandcamp. He described the streaming site as “less technical for some peeps than BitTorrent” and made the solo album available for £3.86, or AU$7.40. Yorke also publish lyrics to the new song via Twitter.

According to Rolling Stone, the track dates dates back to at least January 2013, and was originally destined for Yorke’s Atoms for Peace side project. It appeared in an unfinished form during a 25-minute montage of Radiohead cuts and remixes that Yorke collated for his Dazed Digital Mix.

Yorke was recently named as the most legally downloaded artist on BitTorrent in 2014, thanks to
Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes which, according to The Fader, was downloaded 1.1 million times in the first week at $6 each bundle. Other acts on the list include Diplo, Gramatika, De La Soul, G-Eazy and Mad Decent.

Radiohead are reportedly in the studio working on the follow up 2011’s The King of Limbs. Stream the new Thom Yorke solo track for free below.
