Aussie rock icons AC/DC most definitely have ‘a sound’ — it’s that chunky pub-rock riffage they’ve been relying on for decades. What’s more, a new mashup of Acca Dacca tracks reckons it can prove that the band end their songs in a very, very consistent way.
American radio DJ Paul “Neanderpaul” Marshall from KSLX has taken the time to sequence a large number of AC/DC tracks to see just how many end in a similar fashion — SPOILER: Most of them.
Posting his findings (below) to Facebook, Marshall said, “I promise you, *no song was repeated.* These are all the final notes, of almost every AC/DC song ever recorded (very few songs in their history, fade out. They were omitted).
“They know how to end a song. That’s for sure.”
So what does it sound like? Imagine the most over-used guitar power chords in rock history all stacked next too each other before they scream in your face one at a time, with short stabs of vocals thrown in for extra kick.
The Australian leg of AC/DC’s Rock Or Bust tour kicks off in Sydney on 4th November, before making its way around the country for over a month.
Annnd… power chord.
