Prolific Aussie rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have helped inspire a mashup of their music and the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road, and it’s so intense that it could’ve probably been used in the original film.
The King Gizz and Mad Max mashup (below) was created by YouTuber Cutting Room Dance Floor, who has expertly paired the band’s song Road Train — taken from their album Nonagon Infinity — with the heart-pounding scene from the film where protagonist Max Rockatansky is strapped to Nux’s vehicle as it makes its way across a post-apocalyptic landscape.
“These two pieces of great Australian carnage just had to be brought together,” says the mashup’s creator, and we completely agree. Watch the King Gizz and Mad Max mashup in full, below.
Elsewhere in the music world, Mad Max has previously inspired a mad inventor to create this Mad Max-style flaming guitar.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, meanwhile, are currently touring Nonagon Infinity around the country, and say they are planning on releasing a total of four (count ’em, four) studio albums in 2017.
