Multi-national indie crew Superorganism say they’ll “definitely” be touring Australia in 2018, off the back of their upcoming self-titled debut album.
Speaking with Riley Fitzgerald, one of the group’s Aussie-born members, Mark Turner (Emily), says the band “absolutely” plan to make their way down under later this year.
“We’re definitely coming down under this year, we’re just confirming it all up but we’ll definitely see you for a whole bunch of shows,” Turner says.
“We’re touring the whole world this year non-stop and Australia is, personally for me, super-super important. That’s my home! That’s where I come from, the same for [bandmate] Soul.”
While Superorganism haven’t announced any Aussie tour dates just yet, they do have a sneaky space in their touring schedule in July, around the time of Splendour In The Grass.
They’re also booked to perform at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival (which often shares a number of acts with Splendour) in the same month, so there’s definitely a chance they could be part of the next Splendour lineup, which is expected to be announced in March.
Superorganism’s debut album is set for release this Friday, 2nd March. Catch the video for ‘Everybody Wants To Be Famous’ below.
