Stream Jeff Buckley Rarities Album ‘You and I’, Featuring Unreleased Demos And Unexpected Covers

While you might think that we’ve had enough posthumously released music from Jeff Buckley to last a lifetime, you’d be wrong, as the latest collection of rarities and b-side You and I proves. And while we have already heard a number of tracks from the album, the whole thing is now available to stream.

Taken from a demo recording session in 1993, just after Buckley signed to Columbia/Legacy Recordings, the songs in this collection were intended to illustrate the direction Buckley wanted to take on his debut album.

Featuring covers of Bob Dylan (Just Like A Woman), The Smiths (The Boy With A Thorn In His Side and I Know It’s Over) and Led Zeppelin (Night Flight), the collection also features two originals, Dream Of You and I and an early version of Grace. The former would eventually be released as You and I on the 1998 posthumous album Sketches Of My Sweetheart The Drunk, while the latter is now one of his best known and most cherished songs.

You and I is out on 11th March 2016. Listen to the album itself here below via NPR.
