Stream Dr. Dre’s New Album ‘Compton’ In Full

Dr. Dre‘s highly anticipated new album, Compton – his first new full-length release since 1999 – is now streaming in full on Apple Music ahead of its official release.

Announced earlier this week, the album features a heap of collaborations with the likes of Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Xzibit and Snoop Dogg.

In a champion move, Dr. Dre has announced on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show that all royalties earned from Compton will go towards funding a new performing arts and entertainment facility in the Compton area.

Previous to Compton, Dr. Dre’s latest album was 2001. Previous to 2001, the hip hop producer and Beats-mogul-turned-Apple-employee laid the foundations of his career with 1992’s super-influential release The Chronic.

Compton, which is set for US release exclusively on Apple Music on Friday, 7th August, is inspired by the forthcoming feature film Straight Outta Compton, which shares the story of West Coast rappers N.W.A. Dr. Dre’s Compton will not be the film’s official soundtrack, though.

Compton is currently set to be released on the Australian iTunes store on Sunday, 9th August. Until then, stream it in full via Apple Music.
