As per tradition, Splendour In The Grass is once again opening the door for some lucky local acts to join its mouth-watering lineup this year, to become the cherry on top of the proverbial ice cream sundae.
Triple j Unearthed is giving musos the chance to warm up the iconic Amphitheatre main stage for the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age, LCD Soundsystem, The xx, Vance Joy, Peking Duk, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and more (and basically steal all their fans for themselves).
That’s on top of giving you the full taxpayer funded travel experience that our politicians are used to and putting you up in VIP accomodation with full access to the sold-the-fark-out festival (which is a prize in and of itself TBH).
Triple j Unearthed is putting the call-out to two independent Aussie acts to follow in the footsteps of previous Splendour Unearthedsters like Alex Lahey, Tired Lion, Airling, Kingswood and Art vs Science, whose Splendour opening slots have obviously catapulted them off on stellar career trajectories. The station is looking for one local act from the Byron Bay area, and another from anywhere else in the country, so get in amongst it.
All you gots to do to enter is upload your best tracks to triple j Unearthed and head here for all the terms and conditions.
