Snakadaktal Announce Headlining Shows And New EP Out Early 2014

Five-piece indie-pop dreamers Snakadaktal will be hitting the ground running in 2014, dropping their new EP The Sun II on 3rd January and then setting off for some headlining shows at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne’s Howler.

The Melbourne-based band are no strangers to the busy schedule. They released their debut LP Sleep In The Water earlier this year, followed by an extensive run of nation-wide touring dates with some festival slots in the mix. The album was a hit, especially amongst peers, which is why a bunch of them have lent their names and talents to remixing some of the tracks for this new release.

The Sun II EP features six previously unreleased tracks, including a radio mix of the current single of the same name, new track East of Here and remixes of album singles from an array of talented producers and artists. Sydney favourites Hayden James and Kilter go head to head with battling remixes for Fall Underneath. These remixes have already received widespread international acclaim and Hype Machine, well, hype.

Sydney-born electronic maestro, Kilter will be appearing alongside Snakadaktal for each city show. Additional support in Sydney will come from Castlemaine’s D.D Dumbo and in Melbourne, local artists Rat & Co and CHIEFS have the honours.

The Sun II EP is out locally on January 3. Tickets for the upcoming shows are available now.
