Sia Just Gave Away Her ARIAs On Twitter

After winning four ARIA Awards last night, Adelaide singer-songwriter Sia has done the 21st century anti-establishment thing and given her pointy prizes away to fans on Twitter.

“I made four thank you/acceptance videos for the ARIAs. They chose to show one. I’m saddened to be getting s**t for being a ‘no-show’,” Sia tweeted this morning, before adding, “On the upside, I won! Who wants one?”

Sia didn’t just hand out her ARIAs willy nilly. She re-awarded the ARIAs to the first four people who shared their recent “good deed” with her.

“First four people to document doing a good deed, I’ll send you an aria. GO!!!” she said, leaving many excited fans thinking, ‘What?! Actually?! Is this real life?!’

Alas, all of Sia’s four ARIAs have officially been claimed, with the musician putting the lucky winners in contact with her manager David Russell. View the four winners and their good deeds, below.

She may not have been on the red carpet last night, but Sia was certainly there in spirit, with triple j host Matt Okine paying homage to the Aussie songwriter by wearing a flesh-coloured leotard and blonde bob wig, made famous in the Chandelier clip. His co-host Alex Dyson donned a beard and flannel for a Chet Faker effect.

Sia’s four ARIA awards for Best Video, Album Of The Year, Best Pop Release and Best Female Artist made her the big winner at last night’s ARIAs. Faker was the only other nominee to take multiple awards, nabbing two for Best Independent Release and Best Male Artist. Check out all the photos from the red carpet and the winners below.
