San Cisco have released the official music video for single Run and it’s a pretty far-out and groovy affair. Directed by Matt Sav, who also crafted an unofficial clip for the single, Run has plenty of casual jogging and whacko green screen effects.
Focusing on the track’s lyric “I can be all that you want”, Sav decided to get as tripped out as possible with the visuals. “That’s what was in my head for the most part,” said Sav. “We are all multidimensional, even if we don’t seem like it.” Indeed.
Sav didn’t hold back on the lycra unitards, either. With help from stylist and costume designer Sally Bower, Sav put San Cisco in the custom made skin-tight get-ups after being inspired by a fella cleaning his windscreen.
“In a split second, I saw it. A man with round sunglasses wearing a shiny golden unitard … looking majestic. Like a lion.” Whatever you say, Savo. Lycra aside, we have just one question — when did San Cisco get so hairy?
San Cisco and their newly expanded beards are currently on the road for a national tour behind Run, the first single from the indie pop act’s highly anticipated second album, due out early 2015. Beginning their latest tour with three sold-out home shows in Fremantle, San Cisco will play Adelaide tonight before heading down Australia’s east coast.
