Genre-skipping, mad collab-makin’ English quartet Rudimental have just announced that they’ll be heading back to Australian shores for a string of headlining shows in September, less than 12 months after their first trip, and this time they’re upsizing to bigger venues all across the country.
The boys from Hackney released their debut album Home at the start of the month and it rocketed straight to number 2 on the ARIA charts, following the success of singles Not Giving In and Feel The Love, which placed at 16 and 20 respectively in triple j’s Hottest 100 for 2012.
They’re known for their epic live shows and the band love playing in Australia, with Rudimental member Piers Agget recently explaining that, “We always get a great vibe when we come out to Australia. Especially with Future Music Festival, that was so amazing. That was actually the biggest crowd we’ve every played to and we partied hard with you guys.”
The return of Rudimental marks the THIRD time they’ve played Australia in less than a year, so you know they’ve gotta be loving us. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, 16th May and are sure to sell like hotcakes, so we’d suggest getting on it fast if you want to get your fix of soul and funk-infused drum ‘n’ bass in the flesh.
