Red Hot Chili Peppers Drummer Chad Smith Spotted Busking In London

Red Hot Chili Peppers stick man Chad Smith is making the most of his down time while the band meanders throughout UK and mainland Europe. Rather than being hauled up in his 6 star, penthouse luxury accommodation, Smith got amongst the people, even joining some of them for a cheeky busk.

Below, you can watch two separate videos – meaning this didn’t happen just once – of Smith getting in on the action. Part 1 sees him jamming along with a flamenco guitarist, going as far as to throw in his own flavour, and Part 2 sees him acting as hype man with a single snare as he stands by a street performer who seems to be defying gravity. That’s…amazing?

The dude seems pretty open about his activities on the road, even posting a photo to his socials of him, a kit, a sea of pigeons and a hustling city waiting to be impressed.

This will go down well in the RHCP busking folklore which is riddled with references of Flea being spotted in various locations (Including Circular Quay) busking at any given moment.

Not right now though, as the band continue through their European tour supporting their latest album, and genuinely perceived return to form, The Getaway.
