PVT Announce Australian Tour Dates Through March
Written by Marc Zanotti on 22nd January, 2013
PVT have just announced that the Sydney band will be headed out on tour behind their soon-to-be-released fourth studio album, Homosapien, due on Friday, February 8. The trio’s upcoming tour will be PVT’s first Australian headlining shows in two years.
PVT is made up of brothers Laurence and Richard Pike, who, along with multi-instrumentalist Dave Mille, have been delving further into electro pop and fantasy beats every since 1999, when they were know as Pivot.
A recent review of Homosapien credited the three-piece for producing “a distinguished brand of synth-driven art-rock”.
The review continued, “Homosapien pushes boundaries at the interface between man and machine, and between guitar music and EDM. PVT are slowly embracing their new-wave sensibilities, as well as the pop tones that underpin many of their more accessible tracks, and what results is a holistically more intimate experience.”
