Puscifer To Tour Australia February 2013
Written by Mike Hohnen on 13th November, 2012
Heavily rumoured for Soundwave 2013, Puscifer fans can now relax. Though the band didn’t make the festival bill, they have just announced a run of headlining shows throughout Australia instead.
Puscifer is a concept that could only have been dreamt up in the genius mind of Tool‘s Maynard James Keenan. Keenan, who fronts the project, masterfully guided the group through their latest album Conditions of My Parole. A renowned wine connoisseur, Keenan made the most of his vast collection of Maynard’s Caduceus Cellars, where the whole album was recorded. The record was 3 years in the making, with a lot of the time spent re-imagining the project and taking Puscifer to the edges of its sound, and even further.
No doubt a highly spiritual live performance, the band’s eclectic emotional range throughout their material is enough to inflict all sorts of emotions, all at the same time, on their unsuspecting fans. But it’s not all so serious, there is also sure to be a hefty dose of comedy at what would be described as an “anarchist dinner theatre.”
You’ll be able to witness the great Maynard in this other, other band A Perfect Circle who are performing at Soundwave.
