Sharing the tragic tale on Twitter, the singer explained that during his three-year tenure at the studio pad, fans regularly sent letters and gifts to the door on account of his addy being publically available.
At first, he says, it “never bothered” him. However, “as time progressed, so did the amount of letters”.
“Not just letters and gifts, this soon changed into visits and constant harassment from fans,” he writes. “It got so bad that I didn’t feel safe in my own home.”
In his note, Urie further reveals he decided to share the whole ordeal in the hope of shedding “light on what inappropriate behaviour looks like”.
“Boundaries are boundaries for a reason,” he writes. “Everyone has a right to feel safe and everyone has an obligation to be happy. So I’m taking my family somewhere that might make this a possibility.”
The frontman has now moved to a new secret Panic! cave, and has provided a separate P.O. Box where y’all can still send him all of your gifts and weird fan fiction but without being creepy stalkers about it.
