Panic! At The Disco Announce New Album ‘Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die’

Straight off the back of the release of their brand new single Miss Jackson, Panic! At The Disco have come clean on their plans to release their fourth studio album Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die. The record will see the light of day Friday, 4th October and marks the first release from the band since 2011's Vices & Virtues.

The band teamed up with production wiz Butch Walker, which answers your question of “Why does the new single sound so much like Fall Out Boy?”. From what we’ve heard so far via Miss Jackson, the band seem to be approaching their sound with a much more…Fall Out Boy approach, but still manages to stand alone with Panic!’s own quirky vibe. The band used the album as an opportunity to pay homage to their home ground of Las Vegas, representing the lights and atmosphere with a glittery sonic display.

Since their groundbreaking debut A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, Panic! have survived numerous lineup changes to get to this point, leaving main man Brendon Urie with Spencer Smith on the skins and Dallon Weekes on bass. It’s as good a time as any for the band to reinvent themselves, and as you can see in the below video clip for Miss Jackson, they appear to be doing just that.
