CHECK OUT THE LATEST
The seriously good dudes at Violent Soho have announced a couple of free events in Melbourne and Brisbane, at the same time dropping new single Covered In Chrome as a free stream all in the name of their fans.
Covered in Chrome is the second official single to be taken from Violent Soho’s forthcoming LP Hungry Ghost, which will be released this Friday, 6th September, after the nude bicycle antics of In The Aisle peeked their head up in July and a video for album track Dope Calypso dropped just last week.
Melbourne fans will get to experience new tracks from the album via a listening party to be held from 7pm to 8pm at the Clint Hyndman-owned Yellowbird in Windsor. Oh, and did we mention there’ll be some free Sailor Jerry’s? Yeah. Get on that.
Brissy fans will get an exclusive in-store performance at Tym’s Guitar Store, which actually employs some of the band. Tym’s is said to have played a seminal role in the band’s rise, making it the perfect location for the official Hungry Ghost album launch.
The new shows come off the back of a brief and mostly sold-out East Coast run back in August, and ahead of a fully fledged album tour scheduled to kick off in October, which goes to show just how hungry fans actually are for this new record. Once again, these new dates are free events, so we advise said hungry fans to shake a leg on the night.
