Another previously unheard track by singer Lana Del Rey has leaked online, the latest in a series of leaks that came after a hacker reportedly accessed her personal hard drive and released the unheard material online. Some of the songs were revealed to be intended for the singer’s new album, while other tracks date back to before Del Rey’s debut.
It is not yet clear whether the track, titled Baby Blue Love, dates back to this earlier period of Del Rey’s career or if it was indeed slated to appear on an upcoming release. The track, which readers can listen to below, is light on production and so has the feel of a demo rather than a finished recording. Del Rey hasn’t commented on the new leak, with her last tweet sending fans into a frenzy after she indicated her upcoming film project Tropico will be her “farewell project.”
The last release from the divisive performer was Young and Beautiful from the soundtrack to the film The Great Gatsby. Despite Tropico allegedly serving as her “farewell,” last month Del Rey spoke of working on new songs, while expressing dismay over the leaked material, saying “I do feel discouraged, yeah. I don’t really know what to put on the record…I was [working on new material] until my record got leaked last week…[but] I’m writing songs that I really like right now.”
