Mutemath Announce Australian Tour Dates March 2013
Written by Mike Hohnen on 20th November, 2012
Australia has clearly pleased the likes of New Orleans crew Mutemath. Just a matter of months since the band were last here, they have announced another run of tour dates, returning with a new album in hand.
While the tour is going to be a perfect opportunity for Mutemath to road test the material we will find on the soon-to-be-released album, fans can expect to hear all the crowd favourites from the band’s previously released records. While last in town, the band’s then current release Odd Soul was the main point of focus. The translation of the tracks to a live setting hit hard with Aussie fans, who snapped up every single ticket on the market for the shows.
We can be sure to expect much the same with their 2013 run of tour dates. Paul Meany (vocals/keyboards), Roy Mitchell-Cardenas (bass/guitar) Darren King (drums) and Todd Gummerman (guitar) have perfected the art of leaving the audience in awe through their elaborate and whimsical live show.
You’re doing yourself a disservice trying to compare Mutemath to other bands. It simply cannot be done. Be sure to get your tickets fast so you can witness this for yourself.
