Muse’s Cover Of Chvrches’ ‘Lies’ Is Both Heavy And Badass

You know that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when one awesome band covers another awesome band? Well prepare to feel that feeling.

Because the all-conquering Muse have busted out a rendition of Chvrches’ 2013 track Lies for their recent guest spot at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, and the results are pretty much the badass distorted demon baby of Drones and The Bones Of What You Believe.

Muse’s rendish comes complete with big, mechanical riffage, a trademark Matt Bellamy guitar solo and a downward surge of messy, chainsaw-like distortion at the climax.

Muse, who’ve just unleashed their seventh studio LP Drones, are expected to bring their world album tour to Australia mid-to-late next year.

While we continue to hold our breath for the big announcement, check out the UK rock trio’s cracking rendition of Chvrches’ Lies, below.
