The Aussie contingent heading to next year’s South By South West (SXSW) festival in March has expanded, with the addition of a bunch more talented local acts.
Producer/singer maestro and Flume collaborator KUCKA has been announced, alongside soul king C.W. Stoneking, Sydney indie trio Middle Kids, Brisvegas band Thigh Master and South Australian newcomers Pines.
Kiwi muso Ladyhawke, who dropped her third record Wild Things earlier this year, will also head to Austin, Texas in March to play the festival, and it no doubt one of the biggest names on the bill.
This is the second lineup announcement for the festival, and they’ve added a heap of international buzz acts too. Rising London producer/vocalist SG Lewis; Charlotte Day Wilson, who had her song featured on an episode of Girls; and XL Records’ producer Sam Gellaitry have joined the lineup.
That’s alongside a bunch of already established names like SOHN, The Drums and Autre Ne Veut.
Aussies Alex Lahey, Vera Blue and Wafia had already been announced on the bill, among a bunch of other locals.
