Melbourne band Horace Bones have called out an audience member who allegedly assaulted a number of women at one of their recent shows.
The band say they became aware of the man’s behaviour after their gig, and have since taken to Facebook to call out the “prick”.
“We have heard there was a male, kicking women in the back during our show and spitting in another’s face following the show,” they wrote.
“It deeply saddens us to know this kind behaviour has happened at our gig and we can’t help but feel somewhat responsible.”
The band further apologised and said they wanted to “make it clear that this is not tolerated” .
The man is yet to be identified, with the band saying they didn’t see the alleged incidents themselves. They have, however, noted that the post is not a name and shame opportunity.
“There is a good opportunity for you here to learn,” they wrote.
“Unless there is a damn good apology, a damn good explanation and you can learn to behave yourself, NEVER come to one of our shows again.”
Horace Bones have a number of gigs plotted around the country for this year, many of them in their home city. Let’s hope this is the last incident of its kind that occurs at one of their gigs.

Horace Bones Statement
We hate that we have to do a post like this and promise we will endeavour to make sure we never have to again.
It’s come to our attention that at our show on Thursday night at THE B.EAST there was an individual or individuals behaving absolutely disgustingly.
We have heard there was a male, kicking women in the back during our show and spitting in anothers face following the show.
It deeply saddens us to know this kind behaviour has happened at our gig and we can’t help but feel somewhat responsible.
We want to apologise to anyone who was affected by this pricks behaviour.
We also want to make it clear that this is not tolerated at any Horace Bones gig or anywhere within our usually amazing, loving community.
We only wish we’d seen it and knew what was going on at the time so we could intervene. (Also Security at a venue is pretty necessary…)
In future if this is happening to you or you see it happening during one of our gigs, or any other gig you see us at, please, please bring it to our attention.
We’ve always seen our shows as a safe space and a fun space. Our music is loud and our shows can get rowdy, but it’s about having fun with your mates at its core.
Love each other, look after each other, have fun with each other, enjoy your mutual love of music but don’t be a dick head.
If you can’t do that, stay at home.
To the guy we are talking about, you know who you are, there is no need to name and shame, there is a good opportunity for you here to learn.
Unless there is a damn good apology, a damn good explanation and you can learn to behave yourself, NEVER come to one of our shows again.
